The foundation sends it’s cargo, delivering the complete process from making contacts and collecting materials in the Netherlands, to collecting the cargo in Africa and offering the goods to the different institutions in the Gambia.

With their actions they don’t only support schools, but they also provide skill centres with tools, typewriters and sewing machines. In such skill centres, children with only few or no educational backgrounds can learn the right skills for a future profession.

Unfortunately these skill centres work at a local level, which means that they often depend on money sponsored by a third party.

The Bakoteh Children Foundation also offers tools and sewing machines to private people.

This way these people are able to generate an income for themselves and for their families.
